Yes, it’s true! I’ve been in Ireland for a few days now, and I couldn’t be happier!
I landed last Friday, and (WOW) was I excited. I’m back in Maynooth with my friends, and it feels like I never left.
The weather has been better than ever for once! The sun is shining and the flowers are in full bloom. It’s even been so nice I don’t feel the need to walk around with a coat on. These things might sound a little boring to you, but if you know the weather in Ireland, you know how rare it is to see the sun shine.
I also got to visit some of my favorite places again! From the little pubs in Maynooth to the streets of Dublin, my heart is full of Irish culture once again! I’m sure I’ve already mentioned it in one of my many posts on here, but I’ll say it again. Walking through the famous Temple Bar district and catching notes of music floating out from the pubs never fails to make me smile.
It’s a weird sense of belonging I have in this foreign country. I spent so much time here last semester (3.5 months to be exact) that it’s starting to feel like an old friend. No matter how much time may pass, I know I can always come back to here. Even though I didn’t waste too much time getting back, I know I will always have somewhere to go.
I still have a few days until my flight back to New Jersey, so I’m off to make it count! I know this post has been short, but I’ll be sure to write more as my trip comes to an end. Be sure to follow my Instagram to keep up with my little adventures.
And as always, Sláinte!
